Live Shrunk was born out of a desire to find a healthier way to live my life. If you want to read more about the specifics of how my journey began, click HERE. To date, I have lost 160 lbs over the last 7 years, that is roughly half a pound lost every week for seven years. This isn’t meant as a how-to or a do what I do type of resource. I take a common sense approach to different topics and ideas. I don’t follow one specific program or philosophy about exercise or nutrition. I try to be very honest about my journey: the struggles and the triumphs, the stumbles and the successes. It is meant more as a way to chronicle my journey, the lessons I learn and the changes I am making. It is meant to be uplifting and positive but honest and real. Please follow me on social media to see a Quote of the Day or to be a part of the weekly discussion about what i’m trying, what is working and what isn’t. I try to focus mainly on mindset, how I frame questions, how I think about topics, or how I cope with things on the wild journey to creating change. I try to highlight insights and lessons I have picked up over time. I also try to shine a spotlight on things I still struggle with so that you can know you are not alone but also as a way of searching for your help to provide your thoughts, insights or ideas to help strengthen those areas and approaches where I am still seeking answers or more long-term success. Mostly I write in stream of consciousness. For those that aren’t sure what that means, for me, it means that I write as I think so sometimes that means laser focus to a single topic and sometimes it means a long winding rambling. Either way, it is honest, genuine and sincere. The thoughts and topics are always expanding and evolving as my thoughts and experiences continue to change and grow. I try to provide weekly review of what is working, what isn’t and what I am planning to focus on in the coming week as well as discussing weekly results and even writing my thoughts about the topic of my weekly WW meetings.
