Halfway through another work week and another Quote of the Day. When I first began trying to make changes I was caught up in changing the end result and I would diligently try to duplicate any and every routine I could find for people that made progress in the areas I was struggling to change. Every new chase would lead me a little further down the road but I could never find that “it” that would make everything click and help me take my results to the next level. What I needed to discover for myself was the idea that it was my journey. Finding inspiration and help was going to be important but I also had to search myself for answers. I could emulate the behavior of others but I couldn’t duplicate it because I’m not them. I had to find my path, the one that made sense for me, that one that make it click for me. I began to realize that I could keep chasing someone else’s path but that my true transformation would come when I started to change myself and not just the outward appearance but I needed to shift my mindset. That shift would help me change my approach, which would help change my results and lead me into a whole different trajectory. I had run out of band-aids and the only way to truly move forward was to address the sourceā¦ me. When I took ownership of my situation and admitted to myself that it was my mindset and my habits that put me in the position I didn’t want to be in, it was scary, it was depressing but it was also powerful. It helped me to realize that I also had the power to make changes and to do things differently. It was within me to do so, I just had to try. Whether we are trying to change our environment, our mindset, or our situation that path is not simple, easy and is rarely straight forward. Have a blessed day, y’all! Stay safe, stay warm and enjoy another beautiful day.
